Congratulations Bhavin Shukla!
Bhavin Shukla has been selected as this year’s winner of the S.E. Wolfe Award by the Council of Professional Engineers Ontario.
This Award is given annually to the individual who attained PEO membership during the year, following the completion of the association’s technical examination program, in which the candidate submitted an engineering report judged to be the best of all the reports received during the year and whose thesis has been awarded the highest mark of all those presented during the year.
The Award, which was scheduled to be presented at a luncheon held during PEO Annual General Meeting on Saturday, April 25 at the Westin Ottawa Hotel in downtown Ottawa, has now been postposed and may be delivered virtually due to the COIVD-19 pandemic.
Remembering his student, Dr. Kostas Apostolou said, “Bhavin’s path has been a very interesting one: completed Humber College, then completed B.Tech., then an M. Eng. in ECE, and just got his P. Eng. with an Award! Amazing resilience and endurance and always a down-to-earth gentleman.”
Reminiscing his time as a student, Bhavin remarked, “During my B.Tech. journey, the faculty’s guidance and continuous feedback have exceptionally prepared me for a smooth transition from school to professional career by providing me with the skills necessary to succeed. I am very appreciative of all the support that everyone has extended to me, which empowered me to not only succeed but to achieve professional recognition.”
Prior to Bhavin Shukla, two B. Tech. graduates have received the PEO S.E. Wolfe Award: Anthony Hamilton and Ralph Curitti.
