McMaster’s W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology, Certificates of Completion program and Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen) have partnered to reduce the financial barriers for professional learning programs.
The W Booth School, part of McMaster’s Faculty of Engineering, has run a series of courses focused on Circular Economy and Corporate Sustainability and will be applying this successful format to Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 4.0, and Operational Leadership courses.
McMaster Certificates of Completion are focused, 20-hour courses designed to fit professionals’ schedules. The courses incorporate presentations from industry leaders, case studies, and workshops to build participants’ capacity to support critical decision-making within their organizations. All programs focus on sharing best practices related to organizational performance, whether its material circularity, carbon mitigation, production efficiency or leadership.

Through this collaboration with NGen, we can reach more professionals who can take what they learn and turn it into significant, lasting impact within their industries,” says Mo Elbestawi, Director, W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology, which is part of the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University.

The standard fee for courses is $2,000 but with the support of NGen, the cost is reduced to $750 for qualifying manufacturers in Canada (please see eligibility requirement).
