Faculty of Engineering students have come together to share their experiences with the hope of inspiring and supporting others throughout their university journey.
Every McMaster Engineering student has a unique story to share. Whether it’s on surviving admissions applications, arriving in Hamilton from abroad, navigating first year, balancing extracurriculars and academics, or what drew them to McMaster Engineering in the first place, you can find them all in one place.
Fireball Diaries is a blogging platform run by students for students. The platform, which just launched officially today, helps future and current students navigate their McMaster Engineering experience with stories on a variety of insightful topics.
“Things are so temporary nowadays that it’s nice to have this permanent platform where students’ memories, passions and experiences can live,” says Sophie Mansfield, Materials and Biomedical Engineering student and lead of McMaster Engineering Recruitment’s Creative Writers Committee. “I’m excited to continue to get submissions, share our stories and promote the Fireball Family.”
Whether you’re thinking about applying to McMaster, about to accept your offer to join us, or are a current student now, explore what Mac Eng is all about through Fireball Diaries.
Be sure to also stay connected with McMaster Engineering on Instagram where we’ll be highlighting some of the writers behind those stories.
If you’re inspired and want to be involved, you are encouraged to submit your pitch!
Check out the video below showcasing the team of writers behind Fireball Diaries who reflect on what the community at McMaster Engineering means to them. They all agree our Fireball Family is welcoming, supportive, inclusive, entrepreneurial, friendly, and so much more.
