My field of research is materials forming and deformation behaviour of materials:sheet metal forming in particular, with emphasis on experimental and numerical approaches to material and process assessment under complex stress states.Topics of interest include the following:

  • Formability test design and development for metal forming
  • Experimental studies of materials formability
  • Finite element simulations of forming processes
  • Finite element based metal plasticity analysis
  • Materials deformation modeling
  • Microstructure-mechanical property relationships at large strains
