History of our Faculty symbol:
The fireball, symbolizing energy, comes from the Arms of Hamilton College, which had blue and gold whorls with gold flames on a red background. The Faculty of Engineering emerged from Hamilton College in 1958 and adopted a red fireball as its emblem in 1960.
