Snap a photo with our spirited mascot in a digital photobooth and grab a tasty donut* from Momoco Donuts to celebrate the start of the sweet semester. Wellness & Art: Paint, Reflect, & Connect with TalkSpot | 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Take a short break from the excitement of being back on campus in our calm room (or in this case, calm tent), where you can engage in soothing activities like rock painting and paint-by-stickers, and share positive affirmations to our community display. While you explore your artistic side, connect with TalkSpot, your on-campus mental health resource, and learn how they support Mac Eng students throughout the year. Lawn games available for use. Community Tent Participating Booths (Thurs, Sept 5th)
The Clinic (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
The Clinic health innovation hub equips emerging health inventors with education, resources, and support to move innovations forward. Health innovators coming through The Clinic can expect to grow their critical networks and connect with other health entrepreneurs, receive coaching and mentorship to work through any roadblocks, and get the support needed for next steps towards commercialization. The Clinic entrance is located on the lower level of the Health Sciences Library.
Engineering Graduate Society (EGS) (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
We are a student run organization dedicated to supporting engineering graduate students in any way we can, including hosting fun events, running professional development workshops, and providing travel bursaries.
McMaster Engineering Society (MES) (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
The MES is home to all students in BTech, CompSci, Eng and iBiomed and fosters the development of well rounded undergraduate engineering students through accessible support of academics, athletics, and recreational and professional activities, while maintaining the integrity and unique traditions of our faculty society.
M Factor (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
The M-Factor is a multi-challenge competition designed to enhance your management skills through hands-on, experiential learning. Over the course of three days, you’ll participate in three to four, team-based challenges that will push you to think critically, work collaboratively and demonstrate leadership โ all while having a good time with your peers in Mac Eng.
From Friday, January 24, to Sunday January 25, 2025 the W Booth School, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, will be hosting the M-Factor Competition right here on campus!
The first-place winner will now take home an impressive cash prize of $3,000, with $2,000 for second place and $1,000 for third.
Computer Science Society (10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
The Computer Science Society (CSS) is a student-led organization dedicated to enhancing the academic and professional experiences of computer science students. We organize a diverse range of events, from hackathons and industry meet-and-greets to resume reviews with seasoned professionals. CSS also serves as the primary liaison between the student body and faculty, managing all academic affairs and administrative responsibilities to foster a collaborative and supportive environment within the department.
