Materials science and engineering student Irenaeus Wong is this year’s recipient of the McMaster Co-op Student of the Year award.
Wong, who was also the recipient of the Undergraduate Co-op Student of the Year award from the Faculty of Engineering, was recognized for his work at an internship with Rivian Automotive.
Graduating amongst his peers at this year’s spring convocation, Wong credits his time in co-op as being a life changing experience that made him feel ready to take on new and exciting paths post-gradaution.
“Co-op was the largest avenue where I was entrusted with a great deal of responsibility to build skills and confidence and it was the experience that helped me continuously grow and learn to go further beyond than I previously would have dreamed possible.”
