Represent our department

The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Ambassador program is a leadership opportunity for upper level ECE students to represent the department at various faculty and department run events.

Our ambassadors are active in the campus community, are knowledgeable about our undergraduate programs and are enthusiastic about Electrical and Computer Engineering. They keep the ECE department connected by providing a point of contact for students in the campus community and by providing essential information to prospective students about our program and campus life.

It's been the best choice I've made, as every year I discover how many possibilities and doors this type of knowledge can open. Starting from a young age I have been trying to learn how things work, being an electrical engineer gives me the power to understand most of the advanced technology we use today. Electrical Engineering is the best field as you can get a bit of everything and learn about the Power, Hardware and even Software too! Personal interest plays an important role too. Do you enjoy cool projects, like building a delivery robot or coding a system to automatically control the lights in your room? ECE equips you with the technical skills to turn those ideas into reality. A great way to discover what ECE offers is by exploring capstone projects, which highlight real-world applications of what students learn throughout the program.”

Role of the Ambassador

Promote and represent the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at on-campus recruitment events.
Respond to student and family queries during recruitment events.
Participate in on-campus tours for University/department events (e.g., Bring Your Child to Work Day).
Meet with the Undergraduate Administrative Assistant and provide input for the ECE website and social media accounts.

Apply to be an Ambassador

This volunteer appointment will run for the 2024-2025 Academic Year (Sept-April) with one more event in May – May@Mac. Ambassadors must be available during this time period and not on co-op.
