If your organization can provide support such as working space or materials, or need help with design consultation, testing or prototyping, connect with us here.
The Faculty of Engineering is welcoming industry partnerships to help our community find solutions to the challenges we face during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Companies or organizations with a capacity to provide resources for manufacturing, have specialist equipment or materials, or need our help with design consultation, testing, prototyping or troubleshooting manufacturing challenges are encouraged to connect with us through this form.
This is a callout for partners who are invested in making a difference. The challenges are enormous, and separately, our resources are finite. McMaster Engineering is committed to working in partnership to develop real solutions in record time.
Teams within the faculty are contributing to building supply chains for personal protective equipment, testing equipment and protocols, sterilization solutions and specialized medical devices for health care workers and others in the community.
Over the last month, the faculty has been working with industry partners including Woodbridge Foam, Niko Apparel, Nova Analytical Systems, the Ontario Advanced Manufacturing Consortium, 3D Printing Canada, APC Filtration, the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) and more.
These partnerships have been crucial to develop ideas and products in a timely way, says Dean Ishwar K. Puri.
“The outreach of support and feedback over a short period of time has been incredible,” he says. “It highlights that it takes many teams working together to move these ideas forward – students, manufacturers, startups, scientists, physicians, government, engineers, the list goes on.”
