Join the Engineering Student Recruitment and Community Outreach team for the Black @ Mac Eng: March Break Event.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the McMaster Black Student Success Centre! AM and PM sessions are available for registration below.

Registration & Agenda

Community Outreach STEM activities for grade 1-11 students will be held from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

10:00-10:30 am: Light refreshments

10:30-11:00 am: Black @ Mac Eng Presentation – Hosted by Jodi-Anne Buckley, the Black Recruitment Officer and Career Advisor, this session will provide an introduction to the vibrant community within the Faculty of Engineering and beyond. You’ll also gain valuable insights into the next steps in your applicant journey and the wide range of supports available throughout the university.

11:00- 11:30 am – Current Student Reflection Presentation Hear firsthand accounts from current Black students in the Faculty of Engineering as they share their experiences. Including their involvement in clubs, research, and favorite projects they’ve worked on, as well as insights into their co-op experiences and how these opportunities have shaped their academic and professional journeys.

11:30- 12:30 pm – Mix and Mingle – An opportunity to connect with current Black students, faculty members, staff, and as Black-focused student clubs and service departments (ACCESS, Centre for Career Growth and Experience and recreation, etc.).

12:30 pm-1:00 pm: Light refreshments
