*NEW* Volunteer Recognition Program in the Faculty of Engineering!

SELECT and Engineering Outreach departments are piloting a new volunteer recognition program. This includes mandatory training/orientation, semi-structured documentation process, and exit interviews. Different categories of recognition have slightly varied criteria. Find out more by attending the training/orientation session (RSVP HERE):

Peer Mentors in First Year Engagement (Fall 2013):

Chair: Negin Balaghi

  • September 5-12, 2013: Approximately 40 Peer Mentors have volunteered 1 to 8 two-hour sessions, reaching out to around 980 ENG 1P03 students in total! We'd like to express how grateful and proud we are of everyone involved! The faculty, staff, TAs, alumni, students and Peer Mentors have been amazing. Thank you!

  • Training sessions took place Saturday, August 31st and Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013. The training package can be found HERE.

  • Success of our sessions was measured according to this rubric.
