Tony ThomaTony Thoma

Tony Thoma is an independent consultant assisting organizations develop performance scorecards and operational risk management systems in the manufacturing and energy sectors. Tony received his Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from McMaster in 1983. He also has an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Brock University, an Executive MBA from the University of Western Ontario and more recently received his Chartered Directors credential from the Directors College at McMaster University. Tony is a licensed engineer with the Professional Engineers of Ontario, a member of the Board of Directors of St. Joseph’s Hospital, and has served on the Stakeholders Advisory Committee for the Independent Electricity System Operator of Ontario.

Prior to this role Tony was the Dean of Engineering Technology at Mohawk College and held several senior level positions in industry including Vice President of Operations at Matalco, Inc., and Global Technical Director at Wescast Industries.
Tony has also coordinated industrial association research with postsecondary education and government. This includes the development of the Yves Landry Award winning Mohawk Foundry, and the College’s Metal Casting Technician program and the development of Mohawk College’s Additive Manufacturing Resource Centre.
