Silicon Valley is a thriving entrepreneurial hub where high-tech corporations, top-ranking universities and research labs, and proximity to venture capital create the perfect and unique ecosystem for innovation and development. Silicon Valley is a land of opportunity and home to some of the world’s most successful companies and innovative technological breakthroughs. Nitin Chopra is a leader and venture capitalist in Silicon Valley, and will provide his personal insight on Silicon Valley’s ecosystem. He will discuss the trajectory of development, lessons to be learned, and his own predictions on what the future looks like.

About Nitin Chopra:

Nitin Chopra is a Principal at Shasta Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm.  Nitin is passionate about enterprise software and invests in infrastructure software, particularly in data technologies and security. He serves as a board director of SlamData and Foglogic is actively involved with Shasta Ventures' investments in LucidWorks, Data.World, Lightbend, Entelo and ValiMail. As a part of his role, Nitin routinely interacts with Fortune 500 IT Executives and holds executive roundtables with enterprise IT executives and venture-backed start-up CEOs.

Prior to joining Shasta Ventures, Nitin spent a number of years in Product Management, and worked across Canada, Germany and the USA. Nitin earned an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University.
